The National Consultations Team is part of Central Communications. The team is based in London, but covers the whole country.

We offer strategic and operational services for all routes and major undertakings in infrastructure projects. We support rail projects in early development that require any aspect of public consultation or engagement.

Our team is small and specialist, mainly getting involved with certain projects:

• Those subject to national planning consent – see government information on Transport and Works Act Orders and Development Consent Orders
• Particularly contentious local planning applications
• Projects presenting a reputational risk to Network Rail
